Abstract:Objective: To explore the application effect of predictive nursing in preventing deep vein thrombosis (DVT) formation in the lower extremities after brain tumor surgery. Methods: From December 2022 to June 2023, 72 patients who underwent brain tumor surgery were divided into two groups. The control group received routine nursing care, while the observation group received predictive nursing care based on the control group. A comparative analysis was conducted on the incidence of DVT, blood flow velocity in the lower extremities, and quality of life scores between the two groups. Results: The incidence of DVT in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05); the blood flow velocity values in the lower extremities after intervention in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05); the quality of life scores after intervention in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: The application of predictive nursing in the nursing care of patients after brain tumor surgery can effectively prevent the formation of deep vein thrombosis in the lower extremities and improve patients' quality of life, making it worthy of promotion and application.
