Abstract:Objective: To investigate the effect of comprehensive nursing intervention on wound healing in patients with open fractures of the lower extremities undergoing VSD treatment. Methods: From August 2021 to August 202330 patients undergoing VSD treatment for open fractures of the lower extremities in our hospital were selected as study subjects and randomly divided into two groups. Fifteen patients were assigned to the control group and received routine nursing carewhile another 15 patients were assigned to the observation group and received comprehensive nursing intervention. The collected data were analyzed to compare wound healingpain scoresand complication rates between the two groups. Results: The wound healing in the observation group was superior to that in the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in pain scores between the two groups before nursing care (P>0.05)but the pain scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group after nursing care (P<0.05). The complication rate in the observation group was also lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Comprehensive nursing intervention during VSD treatment for patients with open fractures of the lower extremities can accelerate wound healingalleviate wound painprevent related complicationsand improve patients' satisfaction with clinical nursing care. The nursing effect is significant and worthy of promotion.
